Women Of Faith

  But this I call to mind, and therefore I have hope:
  The steadfast love of the LORD never ceases; his mercies never come to an end;
  they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.
Lamentations 3:21 - 23

     As you start your new year reflect on the year that just ended. Am sure many things came to mind, some good and some not so good. For myself it was filled with joy as my son, daughter-in-law and grandson moved up here to Milan and my parents came for a visit. But it was also fiilled with sorrow as I recall my sister-in-law's death. Yes I rejoice that she is with our Heavenly Fahter but she is missed terribly.  Spiritually God has been bringing me into a more committed prayer time in the early hours. Sometimes I did well and other times I would just roll over and go back to sleep.  Another thing that comes to mind is my Bible reading. God has been challenging me for several years now to read through the whole Bible in one year. Even though I did it, there were times that I did not get to my reading for the day for various reasons.
     So maybe you are wondering why I am talking about these things. Just letting you know some of things that happened in my year.   Which brings me to the end of the verse in Lamentations, that God's mercies are new every morning. Maybe I blew it yesterday or even last year, but since this is a new day I can go on knowing that I am forgiven and that I can start over fresh.  Thank You Father!
     My encouragement to you is to thank the Father for a new day and that you can start fresh. Take care of business with God and then get going. You have another new year in front of you. God has plans to use you and prosper you.

Pastor Becky
